Speedy went back to his room, head pounding after arguing with Robin. He'd left with the feeling that Robin had completely misunderstood what he was trying to say.

He wasn't...angry. He was just tired and worried already, and when Robin had acted so...uncaring when he'd heard that Trigon had apparently returned--admittedly beaten again--he'd been really surprised. He must've seemed pretty intense when he'd argued.

I'd better apologize, he thought distantly. I will when I see him next.

Raven waited until Speedy had walked into the room before approaching the door. Lifting her hand up she knocked.

"He just...didn't seem to care when he found out Trigon had returned, or that Aqualad had been captured, or that you'd been trapped there. I wasn't trying to question his leadership," he added. "That's what he thought. I was just...a bit surprised at his detatchment."

Raven nodded. "Anybody feeding her or giving her anything to drink?"

She wasn't sure how the other titans would receive her or if they'd even bother to take care of her.

"I...think so. I think Robin was the last one in the room with her." He frowned slightly, thinking.

"I'm okay. Worried like hell about you, but okay."

((Yeesss. And it's stuff I've been putting off all weekend. I should go to bed actually, last time I stayed up this late, I kept falling asleep in class. Night!))

"You think I'd want you there?" She stepped back and began to pace. "Malchior and trigon there, both of them who have very personal ties to me. If you'd been there they'd have used you against me. They'd have automatically seen my weakness and exploited it. You."

She stopped pacing, looking out the window. "I'd have been completely unable to do anything to stop them."

"Didn't we already have this conversation?" he asked, smiling crookedly. "I know you wouldn't have wanted me there, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to have been there for you." He put a hand on her shoulder.

"You managed to stop them with Aqualad there as bait," he pointed out.

"I don't feel the same about Aqualad as I do you. My father would have seen that and he'd have used it against me." She slid with her back to the window and stared off into space. "What a scene that would have been."

She didn't want to think about that.
