What a day.

He met his evil alternate, saved the Cy alternate, and had found out Aqualad harbored a secret crush for his girlfriend.

He sat on his bed, thinking hard. He really needed to talk to Raven about this, but he'd heard her go to bed hours ago. He showered and tried to do the same.

Had gone to bed due to a migraine, but she felt better after resting and taking something for it.

Now she sought out Speedy, wondering if she'd missed anything while she was unconscious. Heading to his room, she knocked.

He hadn't been asleep, and opened the door, happy to see Raven.

"I was just thinking about you," he said, smiling. Then he turned serious. "I actually need to talk to you. Come in?"

"I...talked to Aqualad in the nexus today," he started, rubbing his hands. "Evil me jumped in and said something that I wouldn't've believed, only...." he looked at Raven nervously. "I know you've been having a lot of stress lately, and I really don't want to add, but I also really don't want to keep anything from you. If you want to live in blissful ignorance for a while, stop me."

Raven watched Speedy for a moment then sighed. Wearily she moved over to the bed and sat down tiredly, putting her head in her hands. "Might as well tell it to me now, I mean better now than never or later on at a moment far more inconvenient than now."

"Good point," he admitted. He sat next to her and took her hand. "Aqualad...has feelings for you," he said finally. "I thought it was just evil-me trying to stir up trouble, but then Aqualad reacted and.." he shrugged. "It all kinda came out."

Sat there and stayed quiet, absently squeezing his hand. "I'd like to pretend I'm not surprised, but to be honest, I'm floored."

She felt her headache coming back. "As nice as he is, I don't feel that way about him. He's a good friend, a good Titan, but, that's all he'll ever be."

He smiled and squeezed back. "That wasn't what I was worried about. I told you because I thought you should know, but I'm worried about him. He's been talking about taking time to adjust--apparently that's where he's been--and I just don't think the Titans can afford to have another member gone at this point, whether it's just a vacation or not." He sighed.

"I don't know. He's a good friend, and he said he'd never try to come between us."

"It's not important right now. There's too much going on to worry about personal feelings or secret admirerers."

She frowned. "We need every member we can get right now, and we can't afford to let things in the way of that."

"I'll try," he laughed slightly. "Hopefully it'll all be automatic, us being in trouble together and helping eachother out of it." He was quiet for a moment.

"If something happens that causes Aqualad to have to be the one to bring you back," he said, more seriously. "And I don't come back...I love you. I know I've said it before, but...if anything happens. I love you."

She wanted to say 'Don't be stupid.' but she knew that it was wholly possible that he'd be hurt, any of them could be hurt or killed; just because it hadn't happened yet, didn't mean that it could not happen in the future. "You'll come back Speedy. We'll all come back."

She looked up and gave him a gentle kiss. "I love you too Speedy."

She nodded. "Yeah she took me to a doctor and we uh.. talked a little. He gave me a bunch of different choices, but I picked something that I thought would be easiest. So um yeah that's covered. now." She was pretty red faced herself.

She'd never really thought about it before. Raven just had never really had anyone to show off to. "I just never thought about it, there's always been more important things to do with my time than grandstand for nobody."
